I love this time of year because color is coming back to the landscape…and few things say spring like lilacs! Even just a little sprig—with those brilliant little blooms and their perfume sending tiny whiffs of just the right amount of sweetness—is enough to sweep the season into an entire room.

Whenever I see lilacs I think of my mom, and wouldn’t you know, she’s the one who gifted me this little darling!
